My hometown

It’s a normal Monday, people on the streets are hurrying to catch buses on their way to work. But I am hanging around, enjoying the affluence of my vacation. I rarely get up so early, but today I think I just miss the smell from nearby street. Although Shanghai is a modern city and people have been changing their way of eating to Western style a lot, most native Shanghai citizens still can’t get rid of traditional breakfast from the streets, where many speciality breakfast are made. The dough sticks are frying crisply and the steam buns are coming out. I passed by those stalls, heading straight to the one I like the most. The small little fried dumplings are just cooked on a huge plate. That is my favorite Shanghai traditional breakfast called potstickers. I buy several boxes of them and hurry back home, waiting to share the taste with my dad and mom.
