I think the first part is the way the writer used some names of the local places and brand names in the article such as “Dettol” to make the story seemed strongly descriptive because the antiseptic brand may be a specific brand which is only popular in the author’s hometown and also those places are mainly recognized by local people. In this way, the author provided more details to the story so the story sounds more descriptive.
Besides, the pictures included between paragraphs is also another part in the story that make readers feel connected to the author’s life. They mainly displayed a rough social situation in the author’s hometown to make readers especially those who live in other places in the world have an overall understanding about this place.
The writer also cited his or her mother’s words in the article to show her characteristics and personalities. This is also a part I think is strong descriptively in the article.
