Reviews on the readings

I found both articles interesting to read but I personally like the aperitivo one better.

The first one, From albino squirrels to the world’s largest mailbox, talks more about the Casey town as a whole while the second one, A Guide to the Best Aperitivo in Montalcino, Italy, focus more on a popular local dinning attraction and its history. Regards the choice of contents, I consider the second one as more effective cause it narrowed its focus into specific topics and provided all-sided information for tourists to learn.

The writing styles of the two passages also differ a lot. The one talking about Casey town used a more written and official language with many statistics and quotes from interviews to make it seem professional and accurate. But the one talking about aperitivo was written in a more oral way to make audience feel connected with the writer.

Although both articles did a great job in introducing the history and information about places to visit in their passages, I like the aperitivo one better because I think it is easier to follow and the writer seems belonging to the culture. Thus, it successfully formed a culture-based atmosphere to make the place more attractive for audience. While the Casey one used quotes from a scholar instead of from local people, the aperitivo one seems more appealing as it provided vivid life experience from locals. Thus, in my point of view, I like the second one better.
